It varies and depends on the type of inspection and the size and condition of the property. Most standard, single story 4 x 2 building inspections take an hour and a half to inspect and reporting takes approximately 2-3 hours.

I am currently working as an Inspector and have recent and relevant credible construction qualifications and practical experience. I have been employed in the building industry for over 20 years within Western Australia. I hold a Building and Construction Certificate III in Bricklaying and a Diploma of Builders Registration. I am a Registered Builder and Practitioner # 13722 (Western Australia Building Commission). I have operated a bricklaying business for over 5 years and worked as a Residential Senior Site Supervisor within WA for nine years.

I have completed nationally recognised training and am certified and competent in conducting asbestos assessment associated with removal (Deltawest Training). I hold an industry training Certificate for completion of methamphetamine awareness, approved inspector screening and base composite screening to Niosh 9111 standard (Decon System). I hold a Certificate III in Urban Pest Management.

I am a current member of Master Builders WA and the HIA.

Yes, for both Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance. I also possess a current white card and am CM3 accredited.

If a major defect has been identified the Seller/ Builder will need to rectify the defect prior to settlement/ handover as per the REIWA / building contract otherwise negotiations may be established between both parties for amicable agreed outcomes. Termination of the contract may occur in some instances.

A premium building inspection can be organised with a qualified and licensed Plumber and Electrician. We can organise and book this service for an additional fee on top of the inspection costs. Please advise if this is something you would like to consider and we can organise quotation. Often these inspections are carried out at the same time as the building inspections.
